From 1975 to 1989 we have expanded our North American market share significantly thru sales of control cables. In 1989, we launched production of window regulators by establishing a plant in Litchfield, Michigan. Hi-Lex Controls, Inc. manufactures quality, innovative, and cost-effective power-assist door system products that will contribute to high-quality automobiles generating consumer’s satisfaction and expanding Hi-Lex presence in the marketplace.
In 1993, Hi-Lex opened a plant in Queretaro, Mexico to further support our North American Operations. Subsequently in 2001, due to a increasing demand of window regulators, a new plant in Hudson, Michigan was opened. Hi-Lex now produces over 10 million window regulators yearly and continues to grow. Since our facilities molds the components used in manufacturing of window regulators, Hi-Lex maintains higher reliability and quality control. Semi-Automated and Automated assembly lines allow Hi-Lex to provide cost advantages while maintaining superior products.
Our sales, engineering, research and development center located in Rochester Hills, MI. conducts a wide variety of testing for all of our products using precise and advanced technologies such as environmental chambers and an anechoic room to assess noise properties of window regulators.
